What is Staff Appreciation?  

The PTSA has created a Staff Appreciation program so we have ways to say "Thank You" throughout the year to all of our teachers and staff members.

Our students couldn't learn what they learn nor have the experiences they have without our amazing Staff! Cougar Ridge Elementary staff members are incredibly hard working. In appreciation of their dedication and commitment to educating our students, we provide Monthly Staff Luncheons throughout the year and the much loved Staff Appreciation Week in May.

During this week in May, we celebrate our teachers and staff for all they have done for our kids and families. We host either a special treat, lunch or breakfast each day and coordinate with the room parents so the kiddos can do something special for their teachers and specialists during that week. It's our week to spoil and remind each and every Cougar Ridge staff member how important and loved they are to us. The kids have a really good time participating in this week as well.

We have another fun opportunity for students to share a message of thanks with teachers and staff.  The PTSA has coloring pages that students can decorate and write what they appreciate about Cougar Ridge teachers and staff. Participate in the Teacher Thank You Video:
The Cougar Ridge Elementary PTSA is collecting multimedia tributes to your current or past teacher(s) and school support staff. Their dedication to the students of Cougar Ridge impacts not just the children but families as well, so if you as a parent and/or guardian have something to say, please consider making a contribution too! 
You can submit the following:
  • A photo of your child holding a piece of art they did for the teacher(s) (please include your child name, grade and teacher's name). 
  • A picture, artwork or a notecard conveying appreciation.
  • An audio file talking about an impactful teacher(s).
  • A short video in which you and/or your child share a message of gratitude. (Please note for ease of file sharing and editing, keep video lengths to no longer than 30 seconds.)
Please email your contributions to us between now and Friday, April 26, 2023. Submissions will be compiled and edited into a tribute video to be shared with the Cougar Ridge teachers and staff during Staff Appreciation Week.

What Can I Do To Help?

Without your help we cannot execute these activities. We know you are all very busy, so we will communicate simple ways for you to help before the events.
